International Iguana Foundation

The International Iguana Foundation (IIF) is a non-profit organization that works to generate public awareness of the threats facing iguanas today and restore these flagship species and their habitats. Iguanas play a vital role in maintaining healthy ecosystems and the IIF provides critical support to iguana recovery programs. The IIF works with partners to ensure the survival of all iguana species through the protection of vital habitat, education, research, management of captive populations and outreach to communities.

Zoo Miami annually support the IIF in its efforts through monetary donations and the captive management of several endangered iguana species. The IIF annually gives out grants to support critical iguana research, conservation, and recovery programs.
